The OBD is a mini safe that is installed to contain the OBD (on-board diagnostics) socket or diagnosis socket inside. The device is made of high mechanical strength steel with Micro Casting technique. Opening the safe is permitted by inserting a coded key which can be identical to that of the Defender steering lock .

By preventing access to the control unit by armoring the OBD socket, duplication of the key is effectively prevented, making it practically impossible to steal the car with the new methods used.

Furthermore, an anti-theft OBD protector has been patented which contains the Steel Covers Tracker locator inside.
